Because this is health-adjacent information that people may use to inform real decisions, we hold our content to a documented standard. This page explains how that content is produced — what we cite, how we review for accuracy, how we handle updates and corrections, and how we keep our editorial work independent of the affiliate links that support the site.

How we research

Every compound profile and article is built from primary and authoritative sources rather than secondary blog content or vendor marketing. In practice that means we work from peer-reviewed literature indexed in PubMed (the U.S. National Library of Medicine), registered studies on ClinicalTrials.gov, chemical and structural data from PubChem, and regulatory records from agencies such as the FDA and EMA. Each compound page links out to these databases so readers can verify our summaries against the underlying sources themselves.

How we write

• Evidence first. We report what the published research shows, and we say so plainly when the evidence is preclinical, limited, or absent. We do not present animal-model findings as established human outcomes.
• No medical advice or health claims. Our content is educational. We describe mechanisms and research findings; we do not recommend, prescribe, or instruct anyone to use any compound.
• Research-use framing. Many compounds we cover are not approved for human use. We label regulatory status clearly and treat these compounds as research materials, not therapeutics.
• Plain language. We aim to make complex pharmacology understandable without sacrificing accuracy.

Review and accuracy

Before a compound profile is published, it is reviewed for scientific accuracy against the cited sources — checking that mechanisms, molecular data, regulatory status, and study descriptions match the underlying literature. Profiles carry a visible “last updated” date so readers can judge how current the information is. Where the evidence base is thin or contested, we state that directly rather than papering over the uncertainty.

Updates and corrections

Research evolves, and so do these pages. We revisit profiles as new studies, trial results, or regulatory decisions are published, and we update the content and its “last updated” date accordingly. If you spot an error or an out-of-date claim, we want to fix it: email [email protected] with the page and the correction, and we will review it against the sources and amend the page where warranted.
